I specialize in helping individuals make long term change increasing self-awareness, learning stress management skills, and learning how to align their thoughts, emotions and actions to live authentic lives that feel good.

 My therapeutic approach is culturally competent and is a combination of holistic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), energy psychology, and mindfulness-based practices. My approach is not just about talking; it’s about understanding the connection between your mind, body, and emotions, and creating strategies that address all aspects of your well-being so that you can feel good and gain the internal confidence and clarity necessary to create the changes you are wanting to make.

Together, in our 50-minute weekly sessions, we’ll dive deep into the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be holding you back. Some areas we’ll focus on include:

  • Understanding how your thoughts, emotions, and actions are interconnected—and how to shift them to create lasting change.

  • Mindfulness techniques that ground you in the present moment.

  • Developing personalized strategies to align your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with the life you want to live.

  • Stress management tools such as meditation, somatic techniques, tapping, and diaphragmatic breathing.

  • Building self-care skills, including setting healthy boundaries, listening to your body, and improving communication.

My integrative approach is trauma-informed and recognizes how various forms of trauma—such as childhood trauma, racial trauma, community violence, and microaggressions—affect our overall well-being and physical health. A key part of my approach also involves focusing on diet, sleep, and exercise. I’m happy to support you as you work with your healthcare team to ensure that every aspect of your health is supported. Together, we can work towards your well-being in a comprehensive and nurturing way.

With over fifteen years of experience as a psychotherapist and a career that began more than 20 years ago in public service, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to our work. I know what it’s like to navigate significant life transitions, from career changes and relocations to relationships, parenting, and healing from childhood trauma.

As a graduate of Georgetown University and Columbia University, I also understand the unique challenges faced by women of color in high-performing environments. I’ve walked the path of personal growth and healing myself, supported by a range of gifted healers, and now I’m honored to be able to support others. I’m also a daily meditator and trained Reiki Master, bringing an awareness of energy healing into my practice.
